THE MEDICAL BIOSCIENCES BODY OF STUDENTS (MBBS)

The Medical Biosciences Body of Students of the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS)  is a student society, run by students for students, and supported by the UTS Science Faculty. Other sponsors include the Australian Society of Microbiology, Becton Dickinsin, Hurst Scientific and the Australasian College of Medical Science and Research. MBBS aims to provide information and contacts from industries to our students related to their university courses, particularly in the areas of medical and biosciences (across majors including biomedical science, medical science and biotechnology). Over the last two years, the MBBS has been running Networking Sessions with the intention of allowing students to hear presentations from leaders in various fields across the medical and biosciences and, perhaps more importantly, to meet and speak with these professionals. The Networking Sessions are designed to give our students exposure to the industries and career paths associated with their degree, most importantly to the students coming to the end of their degrees. For industry professionals and prospective employers, this provides an opportunity to attract interest to your organisation and field of work, as well as to meet with enthusiastic science students. The format of the Networking Sessions generally begins with presentations from volunteer speakers, followed by an informal networking session for students and guests, with refreshments provided. Networking Sessions are held at UTS. If you have any questions regarding the Networking Session, or have any question about the MBBS, please contact us at
