MEDICAL SCIENCE COURSES
There are many courses available leading to a career in medical science. These range from Technical and Further Education (TAFE) courses offered in NSW, for positions as laboratory technical officers and assistants, bachelor of science degree courses aimed at clinical laboratory work (see list below), and general medical science/biology bachelor of science courses broadly targeting clinical and research fields.
More complete lists of courses and institutions can be found on government websites such as "Joboutlook".
Students need to decide the level of study they are interested in, and the end goal employment they hope to achieve. For some this may mean years of study at various timesduring their career, which can in fact be an enjoyable part of career development. The outcome will depend very much on employment opportunities and personal effort and patience.
